ONE YEAR IN TURKEY
A year ago, I took a flight to Antalya with the dream of carrying out this beautiful project. One year later, I just can celebrate the path to fulfilling it, because in that flow of months and places I explored a breathtaking country, I know in depth a new incredible culture and the most important thing, I met a lot of wonderful people who today are already a piece of home.
I couldn’t feel more grateful and fortunate to have had the opportunity to collaborate with an association that is committed to young people and the transmission of cultural heritage.
For having a family in each of the kindergartens in which we collaborate; for having been lucky enough to receive hundreds of sincere hugs and work with hearts willing not only to learn, but to teach you every day.
Grateful for meeting great friends who make this world a much more humane and beautiful place.
And above all, grateful for every minute I have spent in this country, for that day to day that has allowed me to discover the beauty of a city that wakes up with sunrises over the sea. For all the shared Turkish breakfasts, the readings of the future in the cafe, the colorful bazaars, the smell of spices, the sound of the call to prayer that marked the time, the dances that celebrated life… and specially, for the warmth of all the people who were open to listen to you, to help you and to share with you the beauty of each tradition.
I return to my country with all your landscapes engraved on my retina, hundreds of learnings in my mind and a feeling of welcome that will accompany me all my life.
If life teaches me something on every journey, it is that no matter where you are, love will always be love… and it really moves the world.
Çok teşekkürler, Turkey
