María Prieto Sánchez es estudiante de la Doble Titulación de Derecho Español y Europeo, impartida por la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid y la Universidad de Maastricht. Se encuentra en su último año de estudios y tiene la intención de proseguir con un Máster en Acceso a la Abogacía, así como otro máster en derechos humanos para continuar su especialización académica.
Sus intereses profesionales se centran en la promoción y protección de los derechos humanos. Actualmente, trabaja como asistente de investigación en Children’s Rights Research, un proyecto de la Universidad de Maastricht. Además, ha completado sus prácticas curriculares en la Oficina de Derechos Humanos del Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores.
Anteriormente, María recibió una beca para estudiar el Bachillerato Internacional en Colegios del Mundo Unido Costa Rica. Durante ese período, también participó en el Verano Internacional Solidario con AIPC Pandora, gracias a la beca «Juventud y Liderazgo», y se formó en nuestra Escuela de Facilitadores Jóvenes Changemakers.

María Prieto Sánchez is enrolled in the Double Degree Program in European and Spanish Law, jointly offered by the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and Maastricht University. Currently in her final year, she plans to pursue both a Master’s in Access to the Legal Profession and another Master’s in Human Rights, aiming to enhance her academic specialization.
Her professional interests focus on the promotion and protection of human rights. Currently, she works as a research assistant at Children’s Rights Research, a project affiliated with Maastricht University. Additionally, she has completed her internship at the Office of Human Rights of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Previously, María received a scholarship to study the International Baccalaureate at United World College Costa Rica. During that period, she also participated in the International Solidarity Summer with AIPC Pandora, thanks to the «Youth and Leadership» scholarship, and received training at our Young Changemakers Facilitators School.
