The University of VIC (Universitat Central de Catalunya) jointly with AIPC Pandora and the Fundació Instituto Confuci (Confucius Institute Foundation) of Barcelona, have launched a Master’s Degree in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language to Spanish Speakers.
The aim of the program is to train qualified teachers who can then teach Chinese in Spain and Latin America. The course is mainly aimed at teachers who speak fluent Mandarin, have an A2 level of Spanish and want to teach Chinese in different academic environments across Spain and Latin America.This course is campus-based, taught in English, Mandarin and Spanish. The student will have to complete 60 CTS credits in one academic year. The course will start on September 14th, 2020 and end on June 18th, 2021. The entry requirements for the Master’s Degree in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language to Spanish Speakers include:
- An undergraduate Degree (or equivalent) related to education or humanities
- Certified native level, HSK 6 or C1 level of Chinese
- Well-established A2 level of Spanish
