What is the project about?

Experience the diversity of cultures, languages, landscapes and religions of South Africa, while observing the contrasts between the first world and the struggle for quality education in developing countries.

The program takes place in two locations and two projects. After the group orientation near Cape Town, you will move to the “Crèches” Project (nurseries) in Kayamandi, Stellenbosch, where community mothers welcome the children into their homes during the day, participating in the day-to-day life of the crèches, as well as in rehabilitation and beautifying tasks. In the afternoons you will carry out school support activities at the local social center.

Volunteering is completed with intervention in an environmental center in Zeekoevlei where you will divide into groups to help in different projects depending on the needs at the moment.

You will stay with host families from the Kayamandi community and at a volunteer residence in Zeekoevlei, respectively. During the weekends you will carry out joint cultural activities and excursions, which will allow you to fully immerse yourself in South African culture and live an unforgettable intercultural experience.
