Social entrepreneurship and Community Service in Glo-Cal Issues

This program aims at promoting youth leadership through social entrepreneurship, experiential training, and community service experiences in Spain.

The program, to be taught fully in English, starts with the presentation of different social challenges proposed by partnering social organizations

The Program

Intercultural orientation
Program on Social Entrepreneurship: During a fully programmed week of social challenge and youth entrepreneurship, we will hold 4-hour training workshops in the mornings, followed by a different activity every day after lunch – either a visit to an innovative social project in the city, or a meeting with a social entrepreneur. Programs will end with a presentation to the collaborating organization.
Homestay and Community Service in Valencia: Students will work with the NGOs whose challenges they have been working on. They will have work 6 hours per day, while learning about their local culture as they live with their host family.
Programs will conclude with a trip to Barcelona in which we explore the cultural aspects of the city.
